Jammed pack day o' fun...

We normally go to church on Saturday night, but since we were re-visiting Allie's 30th we went this morning instead. It was the kid's carnival weekend at church and the beginning of a really great day. We stayed after church for a hamburger barbeque and then went home to rest up for the rest of our busy day.

Our neighbor is digging up his backyard in order to build a garage, so while Dillon practiced driving Atticus watched the digger at work.

On our way to Kinsmen Park.

Atticus scored himself some popcorn...

...while Dillon looked on in hope.

The paddling pool isn't functional yet, but the playground was open so the boys (not so much Dillon) got a chance to swing, slide, climb, threaten to jump off things that definitely shouldn't be jumped off of.

This swing brings a smile to my face.

Of course he had to jump into the waterless paddling pool.

And off to the merry-go-round. Initially Atticus wasn't really down with the sitting still part, but once it got going he perked up. Dillon, on the other hand, wasn't down with the sitting still part for more than a couple seconds. And moving made no difference to him.

And then to the train. I had to drag Atticus off this one when it was done. Dillon, again, not really into the ride thing...

...he kept flinging.

We went for a nice walk along the river and stopped for a hotdog for supper. Atticus kept telling me to 'open it (the hotdog bun)' because he's not into the bun apparently it seems.

He prefers to eat his hotdog like this.

We even stopped at the Red Bus for ice cream on our way back to the van. The sun shone brightly for us all day and all in all it was a pretty fantastic day (don't ya think, Dill?).

The twins and I were down along the river and thought we saw the van parked on Spadina. Did the ice cream bus too and a walk through the park :)
