A friend of mine in Taiwan with a son the same age as Atticus was writing about how her son loves to line his toys up. Well, Atticus is a liner-upper as well, and he can be very particular about how each vehicle is lined up and where. I don't mess with it.
This afternoon before the Aaron and Tyson's 6th birthday party Dillon was cruising around in his undershirt (so he wouldn't get his party clothes dirty) and we found him stranded under the table. He was hanging on for dear life and didn't know how to move without falling over (his legs were too far back for him to just sit down, and if he let go with either hand he'd have fallen forward into the table base). I rescued him, just as soon as I went and got my camera and took a picture.

I think this is the same thing Atticus does with Ayda; he wants to hold the little ones ("Hold you"), but instead of both of his arms going under both of the baby's arms he puts one of his arms under their chin and then tries to lift them. This 'move' ends up resulting in a head-lock situation and the little ones don't appreciate it at all.

Today we went to Tyson and Aaron's 6th birthday in the gym at our church. It was a great little party and the kids had lots of fun (perfect location for a bunch of little boys to run). When Vin is here on a more permanent basis I want him to make Atticus some blocks like these to keep outside. He loved them, and it wasn't just about knocking them down either; he really enjoyed stacking them up.

We got Ethan, Aaron and Tyson these Wiggle cars 3 years ago for Christmas. Considering the abuse they have endured, they still work really well and were real entertainers at the party (the cars, that is, not Ethan, Aaron and Tyson; they haven't endured abuse, however they do work well and are real entertainers).

I think this is such a cool picture (and if I knew who that kid at the forefront of the picture was it'd be even cooler). Mystery Boy just happened to Wiggle car by and look at me just as I snapped the picture.

We gave the boys motor cross gloves and goggles, and it just so happened that Ryan and Allie gave them bicycle helmets in the same color for each kid as we did (I'm pretty sure that was God's work ;-))

Atticus and Jared together without hitting eachother....another rare sight (as soon as I took the picture Jared pushed Atticus of the Wiggle car and Atticus hit him - no surprises there).
And, as if today wasn't special enough for Atticus, Auntie Dianne showed up (he's showing her the injury on his finger that apparently happened at the blocks - she is a nurse after all).
While we were at my Grandma's Atticus picked up a picture of our immediate family. He pointed out his Daddy in the picture and made sure everyone knew that was his Daddy, and then he hugged the picture (pretty sweet, huh, Vin?). Then when Jared dared to try and take the picture he made it very clear Jared wasn't getting his hands anywhere near that picture.
So, that was our day. And a pretty good one at that.
