This is Grandpa's TV watching chair. He can be found here most every evening, and so can Atticus when it's time for bed. Last night Atti decided to use his "5 minutes, Mommy" to load Grandpa up with every car he could find.
Easter Sunday morning...and I didn't even think to get/do anything for the boys. How did this escape my mind? Anyways, Grandma came thru for them and Atticus got a chocolate bunny and Dillon got a Teddy Bear (she couldn't find any Easter Bunnies that didn't have silly things like tutus on).

He's eating one of the eggs he decorated. I think he thought it was pretty cool that he got to eat a blue egg.

After church this morning (a really good service this time) we came back home for lunch with all the family. The boys (notice the matching shirts? yes, I'm one of those mothers) scored some more Easter goods (Dill liked the card the best). Of course, since I didn't think to do anything for my own kids, the other kids got short-changed as well.

Mom and Dad put together a scavenger hunt for all the kids. They had 8 clues that led them to the big prize outside.

Ethan was the primary reader of the clues, and the other kids just followed along behind. Atti didn't have a clue what was going on so we'd just keep telling him to, "go find the boys". The clues were all over the house and outside, so there was a lot of running around to do.

This is the big surprise. It took the guys about 2 hours to get it all set up (made more difficult when you have so many extra 'helping hands'). The older 3 kids were so excited to get it set up, the younger ones didn't know what it was.

The mad dash to get in and jump. I had put Atti down for a nap before the trampoline had taken any shape, so when he woke up and saw this big thing erected in the back yard he was a bit taken back. In fact, when I put him in he was a bit nervous and wanted to get out. That didn't last long, though!

Dillon watching from the side lines, Atticus letting the others bounce him as he just flopped around.

And then after the kids jumped on the trampoline for a couple hours Ryan and I took all the boys to the park in the wagon and trailer. The snow is mostly gone (at the park anyways) so they could just run about and create their own 'wagon games'.

One of those games was having Ryan or I run as fast as we could with a couple of the boys (or 4) in the wagon while the other ones tried to catch it and jump in. Very hard to do when it was the big boys in the wagon!

The kids played so hard all day and not one of them won't sleep like a log tonight. Some earlier than others...

Atticus has taken a liking to Dill's Teddy so Grandma told him she'd take him shopping tomorrow and he could pick one out...as long as it's not wearing a tutu.

It was a great weekend of great family time. It was so nice that the weather cooperated so the kids could get outside and blow off some winter steam. Thanks Mom and Dad for such a great day. We appreciate all your time and effort in bringing the family (except Vin, sob, sob) together for such a special and important day.
