Our farm outing turned out to be more of an 'acreage' outing and less of a 'farm' outing. Atticus did not get his prayer for cows answered, but apparently there were buffalo across the road. This is the home of Heather, Terrill (I'm sure I spelled it wrong), Paige, Brooke, and Cole Johnson. I worked with Heather 15 years ago at a hotel and haven't seen her in almost as long. It was fun to catch up with her again, see where she calls home, and meet her kids. One day when we have our own home (wonder when that will be) we'll have them over to our place.
Left to right: Paige, Heather, Cole, Brooke, Dillon, Atticus
Cole had some pretty great toys, and Paige had a hamster, but the 3 kittens were definitely the highlight of Atti's outing.

He pretty much had a kitten in his arms any chance he could get. And surprisingly they didn't object all that often.

They had a really nice back and front yard; so clean (other than the 1 kitten poop on the entire lawn that Atticus just had to come to a sliding halt in {barefoot!}) and lots of things for the kids to play with. Cole would run around the house with his sticks and there'd be Atticus running along behind trying so hard to keep up carrying his own sticks. Around and around they went. They slept well that night!!

And Paige and Brooke were so good to entertain the little boys when they likely would've preferred to do something else (they're both competitive gymnasts so Atticus got to see some real flips).

The hamster had escaped it's cage sometime before we came, but they found it in the couch so Atti and Dill got to meet their first hamster. Atticus was good with it, but Dillon was determined to give it a good whack.

They don't live that far away, but the highway to get to them is crapola so I wouldn't be eager to drive it 2 times in a day or at night. I'd take the kids back for another visit, but we'd definitely be staying the night again. Besides, once the kids are in bed is the best time to (talk about them) catch up.
Thanks, Heather, for a great time!
