Garage Sale Saturday...

A beautiful warm sunny day today; a perfect day for garage sales, I'd say. We loaded the kids into the wagon (we brought the wagon trailer unknowing knowing we'd need it for all our loot) and headed out...for donuts. We were a little late starting (plus the donut stop set us back a bit) so only managed 1 garage sale, but was it a doozy!!

Exhibit A - a Gap jacket for $5

Exhibit B - a Westbeach jacket for $20 (I know, I know, it was a garage sale...but it is kick ass so it was definitely worth the 20 bucks).

Exhibit C & D - a leather belt for $ 4 and a hat for $5 (mom thought the hat was too expensive, but when she sees it paired with a kicky top and snappy pants she'll change her tune). The last time I recall wearing a hat as a part of a 'look' was around 1989 at the tender age of 15. I tried to find a picture of my exquisite taste and knack for being sharp, but all I could come up with was Carrie and her exquisite taste and knack for being sharp...

Just plunk her hat on my head and you pretty much have the get-up I was styling around town (except I also added a pair of wire-rimmed fake glasses to add an even bigger WOW).

Exhibit E - a leather Tommy Hilfiger bag for $22 that looks even better IRL. Mom and I both wanted the coveted bag so we each paid $11 and now have a partnership going (she has it this weekend and every other day next week, I get it for Thanksgiving).

Can't wait for next weekend. Maybe we'll leave the kids at home so we can fit more into the wagon and trailer.
