He's actually had a few trims around the ears, but yesterday was the first time I took him to get his first 'little boy' cut at a salon. He behaved pretty much how I expected him to, but in his defense he was sleeping when we got there, fell asleep again while we waited for his turn, and then was rudely awoken by a stranger poking around at his head. He screamed his little head off until the stylist had me lean him over my shoulder so she could get the back of his head done, and then he was happy to watch the other children and just settled right down.
The finished product. It's a little jagged in places around his ears, but it'll even out over the next few weeks and be perfectly cute (it's actually pretty cute right now; like such a big boy).
At bedtime the same night Atticus requested a pickle for a bedtime snack, and Dillon jumped right on board. Not sure how many little kids their age would choose a pickle over so many other things, but there it is. They love their pickles.

All trimmed up nicely. And now that he's always walking around it's like he just turned into a big boy instead of a baby overnight.

Dora and Diego were in town today at the mall. I had no intention of standing in any sort of line for pictures, but when we got there and saw there was a line up of at least 200 people I knew for certain we were going straight to the front of the line and taking a picture of Atticus getting his picture taken with other children getting their picture taken with Dora and Diego. He waved his 'hello' to the 2 big stars and was as happy as could be about it.

He then told them we were going for lunch and that's just what we did. We ate our lunch where we could watch Dora and Diego doing their photo thing and you can't tell me any one of those 200 people standing in line for 3 hours with their children had a more successful and enjoyable time. I pity the parent that would put such stock in getting one's picture taken with a character that they'd stand in line for hours on end. Not for me, no thank you. And thankfully, not for Atticus (yet!) either.

I took this when we picked Mom up from work, but by the looks of it it should have been Dillon we'd just picked up from a long day at work.

That's it folks. I was going to tell you my cat trap story but I'll wait until there is success to report. Please let it be tomorrow...
