Atti's photo shoot...

Atticus has now stayed in his own bed, without me even having to go into his room, for 2 nights in a row. When Vincent was here he pretty much ended up in our bed every night, so I thought it'd take a bit of time before he'd get back into sleeping in his own room again.

Today he had an appointment for his 2 year old photos. Since he'd had such a good sleep I was surprised to find a sobbing, sulking, screeching kid following me around while I was trying to get everything ready for the photos.

Perfect. Just what you want when you REALLY need for the 2 year old to at least ARRIVE at the photo session RELATIVELY happy.

We walked into the studio and Atticus was very quiet and apprehensive looking. I was sure he'd need a few minutes to warm up to the photographer and figure out the place, but he marched over to a basket that was full of props and pulled out a baseball and that was the end of it.

Literally, whatever the photographer asked him to do he did exactly and immediately.

"Put your hands in your pockets and look at your feet."

Done.

"Sit down and hold your toes."

Done.

"Sit on this trike and look at the wheel."

Done (and then the trike fell over).

"Put your hands on your knees and kiss your brother's cheek."

Done.

He was so good! The photographer said no one would believe her if she told him a 2 year old had acted so cooperatively. And the pictures!! Like something out of a kid's clothing magazine! I can't wait to show Vin (he has a very high standards and doesn't impress easily with photos - It's true, Vin!!).

All the photos he's had taken of himself (especially in Taiwan) must be paying off. It was a very proud (and unexpected!) day for me.
