Today was Vin's first chance to take the boys to their swim classes. Atticus goes first, and then waits at the side of the pool eating a snack while Dillon has his class. Usually Jared is there so Atti has a little buddy (along with Grandma) to wait with, but Jared wasn't there today and he had a really hard time accepting that it was Dillon's turn to swim with Daddy. All the boys had a good time ( I forgot to tell Vin that Atticus hadn't had his usual BM before class, and he should look for signs of one coming - thankfully none came in the water!).
What a sweet little baby face, that is!
Immediately after swimming we dropped Dill off at Auntie Carrie's and took Atticus to the Monster Truck show (my Valentine's gift to Vin). It started at 2pm (nap time...) and didn't end until 5:30. The actual Monster Trucks were the least exciting to watch (slow enough to get pictures, so that's why there's many of them). The moto-cross was definitely the best part of the show, especially the freestyle (although I think Atticus liked the re-configuring of the dirt piles for their different needs the best.
Had to really work on him to get him to wear these (otherwise we just held our hands over his ears), but generally just really loud when the Monster Trucks were out.
Man, this guy could drive a skid steer loader (don't be too impressed, had to ask my Dad what it was, I just call it a Bobcat). It was like he was doing ballet!
These crazies were launching themselves 30 feet in the air and landing on a ramp. They did full flips, completely let go of the bike, held on with only their feet...and all 30 feet in the bloody air (glad I'm not their mother).
Ah, brought the belly button to the Monster Trucks...
Demolition Derby: silly, but fun when they sneak up on each other and bash the heck out of them. Atticus liked it...
Until he fell asleep...
Scrubbing them up so they're all clean and shiny after a big, full day o' fun!
