The well collapsed...

so I didn't have to go to work tonight. Apparently no one can come dig a new one until Thursday, so I may be done for the week. Which is kinda nice as there are some things I really need to do before Dill's party on Friday.

But I thought I'd take this time (that I should be in bed) to tell you a few cute stories. Let's start with Atticus...

We took the kids to the Canada Day fireworks with the rest of our family. The boys were so excited to see them, and Atticus kept asking if there'd be black ones.

Anyways, the other night Atti tells me he needs to poop. He's sitting there on the toilet chatting away with me so I ask him, thinking he's just trying to buy some time before bed, if he's done yet. He informs me that he's 'going to be here for a long time'.

Moments later the bottom explosion takes place and as his eyes light up with amazement at that which he'd just performed he exclaims, 'That was just like the fireworks!'

He also then proceeded to explain to me just how it was like the fireworks. Nice (but so funny I had to run out and tell Vin).

And now Dillon...

The same night Dillon walks up to me and says, 'Poop'. He then hands me the 2 diaper wipes and tells me, 'Clean it'. And sure enough, there was a diaper full to clean. But how nice that he came prepared with wipes for me.

Back to Atti (I sense a pattern)...

I made a bunch of hamburgers last night so I took my wedding and engagement ring off while I mixed up the meat with my hands. I put the rings on the counter and didn't think about them until later when I discovered the wedding ring in Atti's pirate ship (the treasure?). The engagement ring wasn't anywhere to be seen so I asked him where he put it (he's like a raccoon)...

'I tossed it.'

"You tossed it? Where did you toss it?"

'Ummmm, just...I don't really know.'

My mind starts racing with all the possibilities of where a ring could be in so many endless places. Atti walks into the kitchen and casually looks under the fridge with no success.

He sighs, shrugs his shoulders and says, 'I guess it's gone.'

In the end I found it on the landing amongst the shoes.

Ya, that's about it.
