Dillon just started putting the pail on his head. I think it's so cute to watch him sitting there putting it on, then taking it off, then putting it on, then taking it off...What fun it must be to put a pail on one's head.
Ok, so I put Dill in the exersaucer while I was getting stuff together for swimming. He wasn't thrilled with the idea, but Atticus was playing in the room as well so I figured he'd just watch Atticus play. Not so...
A brief moment of panic that Dillon is no longer where I left him, but then I thought that maybe Atticus had taken him out. He does sometimes try and pull him out of the exersaucer if he doesn't think Dillon should be in there anymore, but hasn't actually ever succeeded. And besides, he'd be sitting in the exersaucer if he ever did manage to drag Dill out.
Ah, Atticus must have pulled Dill out and brought him over to play with him at Dillon's new toy that Atticus WILL NOT share with him...Not likely. SO WHERE IS DILLON?
He crawled out by himself (I wouldn't let Dad pick him up until I'd photographed the escapee in action). As far as I can tell, he leaned over the edge as far as he could, wrapped his little hands around the edge, and pulled himself out far enough that gravity could take over from there. I guess it's time to extend the legs on the exersaucer to the top hole...

And then there's Atticus. When he uses the potty he gets a little handful of jelly beans. Apparently that was not enough yesterday as he decided to go get some on his own. I was downstairs with Dillon and mom was in the kitchen. Atticus came running into the kitchen showing off his, "Candy!" (at least he's honest). Mom and I went into the office (the "Jelly Bean Room") and found the chair with wheels pushed up against the bookshelf. He'd climbed up the shelves so his feet were on the middle one (he left prints in the dust) and his little arm was able to reach up and into the jelly bean jar. I assume he stuffed them into his mouth before descending as he'd need both hands to climb back down (he left his car on the middle shelf) and somehow got his feet onto the WHEELED chair without it wheeling away. It is a blessing that the bookcase is heavy enough that it wouldn't fall over on him, or that the shelves wouldn't flip up and everything come crashing down on him.

The Holy Grail...
We will now be vigilant about keeping that door closed!
