I'm trying out a new comment form so I thought I'd tell this little story so I can comment on it and see if it's working.

Atticus and Dillon each had a little green water gun. They were exactly the same except the one Atti had was missing the little plug from the top. I don't think Dillon would've noticed there was any difference, but he's learned that if Atti wants something he has there's a reason for it and he shouldn't give whatever it is up (he almost always gets tricked into making a trade, though).

Atticus first tries to use sweetness:

'Dilly (he never calls him this), you want this water gun?'

Dillon clings tighter to his water gun.

'Diiiiiiillyyyyyyyy, (said with oozing sweetness) you want this water gun?'

He bends down to Dillon's eye level and gets in real close with his brotherly love.

Again, he's met with resistance.

'Dilly, that water gun has sugarbugs, but this water gun has NO sugarbugs. You don't want sugarbugs, do you?'

The exchange is made. Suckered once again.

And, apparently I need to revisit the dental hygiene talk and make the sugarbug idea more concise.
