My dad made his grandkids a really great castle out of a dishwasher box and a fridge box. It's erected in the basement and Atticus seems to think that if someone is in the basement they might as well be IN the castle. He doesn't need his captives to do anything in particular, he just likes his castle to have people in it (the more the better). Last night he had mom, dad, and Dillon in there, and the moment I set foot downstairs I was ushered in as well (3 adults, 1 toddler, 1 baby - a lot for that sort of square footage). If a person dare leave he chases after them and pushes/pulls them back into place. It actually reminds me of a sheep dog trying to get his sheep in the little pen; just when he thinks they're all in one scoots out and he has to go chase it back.
And he is very committed to this. If we go downstairs and he is there we will inevitably be expected to do castle-time.

way to go, Grandpa!!! that's awesome!!! probably the best castle in the planet really! could you imagine Hunter & Atti in there together, though??? Probably wouldn't last very long. i'll ask for the blueprints when we move next year and have heaps of boxes on our hands too! Playspace eat your heart out!
Wow, those sure look like two very content grandparents. Does this mean they got new appliances in honour of your arrival?
Nope, those were free boxes from the appliance dealer. He made that castle last Christmas thinking it would only last until Christmas was over!
