Festival of Trees...

We went to the Western Development Museum tonight to see the Festival of Trees. The trees were lovely, but the really fun part was seeing the old 'book' that used to be at Eatons. Anyone around my age or older would likely remember walking thru that little animated story book thing (for lack of a better explanation). It's been so many years since I went thru that that I almost forgot it ever existed. Brought back a lot of childhood Christmas memories.

There were also a number of Gingerbread Houses that were quite beautiful (2 pictures of them above). They hardly look like they're made of cookie, candy and icing, and what a lot of work. I'd have had to chuck the whole thing and restart about 2 dozen times I'm sure.

We stayed and had supper there; Atticus ate his weight in chicken fingers and fries (give that boy some dip to dip things in and he'll just keep eating). Really nice evening of getting in the Christmas mood. Excited for some snow so we can take the boys on a horse and sleigh ride!!
