Suri is 6 months old

It was a big day today. Suri reached her 1/2 year mark and to celebrate got to eat her first solid food (well, relative to what she's used to). She didn't really think that much of rice cereal, but I think she enjoyed sitting up at the table with us at supper time and actually getting to put something in her mouth (and not paper or crayons or lego).

She rolled over at 4 months, started sitting up without aid at 4 1/2 months, totally locked down the sitting up at 5 months, and is crawling around the house at 6 months.

Nah, not really. But funny to think that Atticus was at this age. I'm very much not ready for my little munchkin to become that grown-up, but I know it's only a matter of time.

She's still waking up at least 4 times each night, but we're working on cutting that down. She's become a great napper in her crib (actually, only in this last week) and now goes down awake and puts herself to sleep (with very moderate complaining). She's warmed up to other people and doesn't reject as many of them as she used to, but she's still not sure about that guy everyone calls 'Grandpa'.

Although a good portion of her hair has fallen out (the clip is in there to keep the rest in!) she's got a good bit of growth underneath and may even have bangs for her 1st birthday. She's still enamored with Silas, thinks Dillon is pretty funny, and loves to get her hands on Atticus' hair and give it a good pull.

Her (5 week) younger cousin, Maisy, and her are enjoying each other too. They chatter away to each other and suck on the other one's hands and head, and try to steal the other's clip or toys. Certainly 5 weeks apart is gradually getting less and less noticeable. They're going to be so cute crawling and walking around together (because we'll force it upon them) in the coming months.

This month's photos were so much easier to do than the last couple (also, there were 2 of us this time). Even though it was really late and she was ready for bed she did a great job (well, up until the very end).

Happy 6 months my precious little girl!!
