I started Suri on solids on her 6th month birthday. So far she's tried rice cereal (could take it or leave it), banana (not smooth enough), and avocado with apple (her favorite since it's really smooth and has a nice flavor). She's not sold on this idea of solids, though. I'll take it pretty gradual with her since she's not a real eager beaver, but she's got a bunch of yummy Baby Bullet food waiting in the freezer for when she does get on board.
Our basement is our photo studio again. We set the camera up on a timer and Vin tried to write her name in the background with a sparkle candle. The effect worked well, but we ran out of candles before Vin could get her name written clearly.
She's checking it out to see if it's spelled right.
Silas has another baby to put up with love (she's biting his ear). He's such a good, patient, tolerant dog with all 3 of the kids. And Suri lights up when he walks by or happens to wag his tail in her face.
Atticus loves Finn McMissile. He got this for his birthday from Grandma and Grandpa and takes it to bed with him most nights. Dillon is always after it, and sometimes Atti lets him play with it, but the other day when Atti was at school we came home and Dillon had covered it in stickers. The kind of stickers that don't come off well. Such a typical little-brother thing to do. So now Dillon isn't allowed any Finn time and Atti is pretty sure that he needs a new Finn.
Ready for battle, except for the sword he usually brandishes as well.
Each of the boys (Vin too) have their own set of gloves, but they have to share the head-gear.
Daddy and his girl (there are some of me too, but i'd gone to bed with wet hair, so...).
She reaches for the toys she wants, complains when the toys she wants are taken away, rolls over, sits on her own, sucks her toes (both sitting and laying down), reaches up when we put our hands out to pick her up, is now on a pretty good sleep/eat/wake/nap/play etc. schedule, has a bath like a big girl sitting up in the tub, plays on the floor happily for 15-12 minutes at a time, and looks at you when you call her name. Lots of accomplishments in these 6 months.
18lbs 9oz., 27 1/2 inches long
