Managing?

Talked to Mom and the boys today. Dillon isn't particularly easy to talk to on the phone (much head nodding on his part), and Atticus seemed to have better things to do (they were waiting in the truck, he said, while laundry was being done). I asked Mom how things were going and how Dillon (my biggest concern) was behaving. She said, 'We're managing'.

Can't be good.

She also added she has a new appreciation for me.

That's really not good.

I'm going to try and get up there on Friday. Dillon is a handful but I was hoping that he'd be better for Mom and Dad. I think there is going to be some serious re-thinking of him going on the 'Dads and Lads' fishing trip next week.

Eesh. I've never really entertained the idea of Dill staying with anyone for more than a night, so 7 was a BIG stretch. But it makes me sad to think that I was correct in thinking that. I wish he wasn't so angry and frustrated and out-of-control so much of his 3 short years. It's a tough way to feel.

For everyone.
