Seriously.
When you walk into an RBC branch they will make you feel like they're been waiting for YOU to come. Really, the nicest, most genuine welcome wagon you could imagine, AT A BANK no less.
Lorraine, at the Broadway branch will call me up to tell me about better rates on my debit card, better ways to pay our mortgage, she was ON MY CASE to get the boys' SIN cards and open an RESP before 2010 so we could get the governments contribution. I just really feel like (Lorraine, especially) they are trying to help us out.
And the real score came today when I asked them if they could lower our credit card rates from 19(ish)% and they did...to 11.99%.
I don't know much about these things, maybe some other bank would've lowered the rate more, but I was content with 7(ish)% lower.
I know RBC can be difficult to get loans from (the hoops we jumped through for our mortgage!), but really, isn't that better than banks handing out loans willy nilly?
Anyways, I just wanted to share the joy that is 11.99%!!
