Because everyone (EVERYONE, I tell you) was on a team.
The announcer must have felt the shame, sadness, pity in the air that I was the lone team-less person so he quickly told me to just latch on to the team in front of me and just head out with them. Thus, no one (except the team I latched on to, and they were probably like, hey, you can't be on our team! where's your fairy costume or snappy 'recycle' outfit?) would know I must have had no friends or family that wanted to ride with me.
I vowed then and there that I would not be the social misfit next year and would bring a team of my own to the line.
Fairy costume be damned! I've got ideas of my own!!
So, there you have it; in rides Long Wheels.
Now, if you cast your eyes upon the right hand side of this blog you'll see a link entitled, 'Team Long Wheels'. If you feel so led to donate to the fight to cure MS please click on that link and it'll take you to the appropriate place to donate via team Long Wheels. If you'd rather donate thru my pledge book I can set you up there as well (just let me know). And if you're unable to donate at this time no worries. Many thanks!
