Silas goes to work...

We gave him a job. Cesar Millan says dogs like to have jobs so we assigned Silas the job of pulling the kids. While there's no snow he pulls them in the wagon (with our camera equipment in the wagon's trailer), and when there's snow he'll pull them in the toboggan. The first time we hooked him up he was a bit unsure of the weight and strangeness of the arrangement but he took to his new role and performed like a champ. The kids think it's great fun that Silas is pulling them and since the weather has been good we've been out a number of times. Good for the kids, good for their dog. If any of you have kids and wagons to add to our train for Silas to pull bring them on over.

It's really best to have 2 adults along as we have to stay on the road (the sidewalk goes up and down too often - driveways - and the wagon/trailer don't follow well unless the ground is flat). One person has to hold Silas' leash and the other (is the photographer) walks along-side the wagon on the traffic side.

Hopefully we'll get out lots before the snow comes (we visited Colin and Ellie's house, maybe we'll get ourselves over to Alisha and Logan's sometime).

Thank you for the great update, although now my retina's are bleeding! You really should make it easier on you and all of us by posting more regularly again ;)
So glad you are all together, finally!
