...blogger has done 'updating'. It always seems (at first anyways) that when social networks make improvements they really just bog ya down and make it more difficult. I'm not sure how to put these pictures in a nice orderly order so I'm going to just leave them in the order and arrangement blogger put them in for me and figure things out later.
We'll start at the beginning, which is actually from today, and go backwards...
We used to always go to my Grandma's house on Friday night for popcorn, and during the year we stayed with Mom and Dad we typically got there most every Friday. However, since we've been in the new house with so many things to do we haven't actually made it there. After baths (they've never had so many bubbles and so much fun) and jammies the boys and I (Vin was swimming) made popcorn and watched a 'program' (not sure where Atticus got this from but it sounds so cute when he asks if I'd like to watch a program with him).
This was this morning. I guess since Silas spends most of his nights on Atti's bed the boys figured they should be able to spend some of the morning on Silas' bed. Dillon has lost more rice cakes to that particular gaze than he cares to remember...
The culprit caught. A few nights back Atticus decided to sleep on the bottom bunk and every time Silas snuck up onto the bed he'd holler for me to make him get down. I told Atti how to make him get down by himself, but Silas can be a big heavy lump when he wants to and no amount of 2 1/2 year old muscle will make him change that.
Dillon thinks he should wear underpants like his big brother so after I get him all dressed he hustles over to the underwear drawer and brings me 3 pairs to put on him. He insists on this for most of the day, but it's cute and funny to see him walking around (only at home!) like this so I don't mind.
He's gotten a bit better in the last few days about being changed out of clothes, diapers...and will actually let me do it now. This was one of the times that I had changed him out of his jammies with a big fight (but he still wanted the underwear after!) and he chased the dirty diaper to the diaper pail to try and get it out. It was a big melt down.
We got busy on our gate last week, but it didn't get finished because we didn't have the latch or the wheel. We do have the latch and the wheel now, but it still sits leaning against the dog run. One of these days...
He dressed himself (look closely).
One of the best foods in Taiwan is a shrimp dish with pineapple, and Vin made it for us once and I could eat it every night (along with the yummy soy sauce chicken). (ya, and Odus making himself at home on our bed)
Vin likes big, serious breakfasts, but I'm more for the quick, low mess kinds. I usually make the kids and I breakfast while he does some work in the office and then he comes up later and does it up big.
I finally made a big dent in all of the boxes and stuff. It took me a couple long days to do it but the livingroom is almost box-free, and the basement is very nearly there too. Dillon's room now has all the wallpaper up and as of today his closet organizer is done. Vin has been working on the bathroom downstairs and it'll probably be done in the next few days as well.
I wrote up Vin's resume and cover letters for many yoga studios and gyms. He's going to work up his confidence over the weekend and then deliver them on Monday. We're really hoping things in the employment department go well, and prayers and good thoughts along those lines would be greatly appreciated!
I guess that's it for now.

When you get a free minute (LOL!) would you mind posting the recipes for those dishes? They sound and look delicious!!!
I'll see what I can get him to put together! He sort of just tosses this and that together without any recipe and it typically turns out pretty well. I know the shrimp with pineapple has shrimp and pineapple...and the soy sauce chicken has chicken and soy sauce...
And pretty much everything he cooks has garlic!
I'll getcha a recipe one way or another, Kathleen.
You guys look so home-y in the new place... I hope Vin is enjoying the work on the house - he's so good at it. And I love that shrimp dish too... especially when the shrimps are breaded and they put colored sprinkles on the mayo!!! That's so fun that you guys are there together! Is Atti fully potty trained now? Hunter's still hanging on to diapers for sleep and poop!
Miss you guys!
I'll pass on the colored sparkles!! And a bit of a tone-down on the usual overload of mayo is in order as well.
Atti is pretty good in the potty department. He still wears a diaper at night (nap time he's good, though) and is making progress on the poops going in the potty not in the pants. Funny how they pick the most uncomfortable one of the two to hang on to (not to mention least fun to clean up).
We miss you guys, too! There is talk of next fall or winter making a visit back but I'm assuming you'll be gone by then?
The boys are soooo cute! Glad Vin can make the pineapple shrimp, I sure would miss that!
