I took the boys on a mini vacation of sorts to Grandma and Grandpa's last week. We smartened our own house up before we left so we'd come back to a clean and tidy house and then over we went. It was really nice actually; I took the boys to a movie ('Gnomeo and Juliet' - not very funny), we went swimming, Grandpa took Atticus to the Sports and Leisure show and Dillon, Grandma and I went to Great-Grandma's. There were a few lunches out and a few late nights and all in all it was a breath of fresh air.

Now that I know they'll both sit for movies and I can manage them at the same time at the pool I think I'll make a point of taking them more often. Winter has been long and the basement is getting old and there's only so much time the boys can spend together before they're at each other's throats.

Well, that's all I can offer up right now. I wish I could be more dynamic, interesting and consistent, but the truth is I'm tired. And the bigger truth is that most everyone around me can understand that tiredness except one person that thinks I could always be doing more. And because of that I want to just dump everything and give it all up.

I'll try and perk up for the next post.

I think the hardest thing about being a mom to littlies is accepting our limitations! I know for sure I struggle with that but I have to keep coming back to the priority of loving my kids well, respecting and loving my husband and loving myself enough to know when to take a break from the other three so I can get refreshed! You guys have a lot going on with the new studio opening... it's going to be a new season of challenge, but it will be good growth. You are amazing!

MORE dynamic, interesting and consistent? Why would you even CONSIDER such a thing?

Not that I suggest you savour being tired but it is a season that WILL pass.

Praying for strength, peace and courage.
