After a number of flight delays Vin finally made it home. The boys did funny little dances when they saw him and battled over which one got held and tickled. I believe they were rather happy to have Daddy home again.
Vin brought really cool remote controlled cars home for the kids; one climbs walls and the other one does flips and has flashing lights. But Silas was the real winner in this homecoming...
He was only moderately embarrassed to become a bumble bee, but as soon as the headgear went on his big male german shepherd confidence slowly deflated.
Until he could no longer hold up his head.
I'm trying to let Vin have a few days to get into this time zone, but at some point I'm going to have to get some shopping done (it's been difficult doing it with the 2 kids squabbling every step we take). Atti has his first ever Christmas program tonight (he tells me he's singing the ABC's, but somehow that doesn't seem right). And tomorrow we're going swimming for Ayda's birthday, which we haven't done since before Vin left.
