Made it here and have been having a great time with Jenny. Tomorrow the race starts at 7am, so we'll likely be down at the start by 4am. It's really quite incredible down there; the atmosphere and excitement is contagious and so much fun. We saw the #1 professional female (1st in this ironman for last 3 years) and it was like seeing a rockstar. Got about a thousand pictures of her (none that great) and will be waiting by the finish line to see her claim her 4th title in a row (unless Jenny upsets the whole thing, but even Jenny is unlikely to make it anywhere near the professional women). People here are hardcore serious tri people (except Jenny, she just rides along on talent and very little preparation) and you can tell by the crazy bikes and gear they have - I've never seen such unbelievable bikes!
Anyways, better get thyself to bed - a very long day tomorrow (but not as long as Jenny's).
