Well, I'm off to Hawaii tomorrow morning; just me, myself, and I. My old roommate and good friend from Taiwan (Jenny) is competing in the Kona Ironman on Saturday. She placed 2nd in her age group at the China Ironman and got herself an invitation to Kona. She's a monster and I expect nothing less than a great race from her.
And if I can fit in a dive with some manta rays then I'll really be smiling.
But, I must say, sitting here this evening I feel a bit uneasy about leaving my boys behind. I don't like the idea of being SO FAR AWAY from them (the amount of time is ok, I just hate thinking it'd take me so long to get back if I needed to). I know they're in good hands with Vin, and Mom and Dad (and Carrie, too) are helping out as well, but yikes...
Anyways, I'm really excited to see Jenny and spend some time catching up with her (although her idea of 'catching up' is going for a 10km run...before heading out on a bike for 150km...before breakfast).
I'll have my laptop with me, but we're staying in a condo so I likely won't have internet access. But if I do I'll be sure to let you know how the race went (fyi, Vin signed up for the Kona Ironman 2011 lottery yesterday :-0).
