Atticus has always given us much to laugh about. Sometime around 8 months old he started his belly button fascination. We thought it would play itself out within a few weeks or months, but he's going to be 2 in February and he's as committed to keeping his finger there as ever.
Before we moved to Canada Vin and I took Atticus shopping for his first pair of running shoes (good for boys that never stop moving). He loves those shoes. He requires that they are always on his feet in the house. When I take them off him so I can remove his pants to change his diaper he gets very concerned that they've been removed. As soon as he gets his jammies on for bed he's putting the shoes on over top his footed feet. He's actually gone so far as to go to bed wearing his shoes (I didn't think it was worth the tears so I just snuck in once he fell asleep and took them off).
He is a very determined, driven, can't-be-swayed-from-what-he-wants, kind of boy. And the house is all the more filled with laughter because of it.
